CAPERS Academy U15s Girls and Boys and the U17 Boys are in Moncton this weekend taking part in the new CS Dieppe summer tournament.

The island 15s Girls got off to a flyer on Friday night with a 9-0 defeat of New Brunswick side Hampton. Ella Mills grabbed a hat-trick with Player of the Match Ellie Fogarty netting two as Norah MacDonald also grabbed a double. Jena Macaulay and Olivia Curry were also on the mark.

As the Girls were playing the 15s Boys had a tough opener against top NB side Codiac and eventually fell to a 3-0 defeat with keeper Charles Horne in outstanding form again.

The evening action on Day One for CAPERS was rounded off by the 17s Boys battling to a 0-0 tie with the hosts CS Dieppe in the U18s bracket.

All three teams are back in round-robin action today (Saturday) as they bid to win a place in Sunday's medal games.
